I am Mahesh Mahato — an engineer, entrepreneur, impact-driven leader, speaker and mentor whose journey has been fueled by one purpose: to uplift people and create lasting impact. Over the last 25 years, I have founded and led multiple ventures under the Cosmic ecosystem — from power infrastructure to renewable energy, from technology to investment and entrepreneurship support — each united by a single vision: to empower lives and build a sustainable future.
What began as a modest step in 2000 with the founding of Cosmic Electrical has since grown into a group of companies — Cosmic Innovation Center, Cosmic Capital, Cosmic Global Tech, and Cosmic Infra — that touch diverse sectors yet converge on one goal: creating progress that matters. Together, these ventures embody my belief that business is not just about growth, but about impact. Each entity reflects a different dimension of the same mission: combining entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability to transform communities and create opportunities.
Beyond business, I believe true leadership is measured by the ability to give back. This belief inspired the establishment of the Cosmic Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting lives through education, healthcare, sustainable development, and social empowerment. Through the Foundation, we are working to ensure that community impact remains permanent, institutionalized, and scalable alongside our commercial ventures.
My path has been shaped by resilience and purpose — from bringing electricity to Nepal's most remote villages, to building high-voltage transmission infrastructure, to nurturing startups and future entrepreneurs through CIC Nepal. Along the way, I have witnessed how access to energy, technology, and mentorship can change lives, unlock opportunities, and inspire communities to dream bigger.
As a TEDx speaker, Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) leader, and Toastmasters mentor, I have shared stories on resilience, leadership, and the mindset of embracing challenges as opportunities. These platforms allow me to give back — to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders to pursue their goals with courage, clarity, and integrity.
My contributions have been recognized both nationally and internationally — from receiving the Entrepreneur Engineer Excellence Award 2025 by the Nepal Engineers' Association, to being named US Embassy Nepal Alumni of the Month (2025), and the WCRCINT World's Best Emerging Leader (2023). Yet for me, the truest recognition is not in awards but in the smiles of families who see light for the first time, or the entrepreneurs who find their wings through mentorship.
Success is not measured by profits alone, but by the positive impact we create on people and the planet.
— My Core Philosophy
Looking ahead, my bold vision is clear: by 2035, to empower 50 million lives globally through clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, mentorship, and investments. This is more than a goal — it is my lifelong commitment.
